ArcLight Capital Partners launched SkyVest Renewables, an operating-focused renewables platform, with an initial $500 million capital commitment and concurrently acquired a 160 MW operating wind farm in the Midland Basin, Texas (commercial operations 2020). SkyVest will operate and optimize utility-scale wind and solar assets across North America, leveraging ArcLight's operational resources to drive near-term cash flow and brownfield development.

Salka Energy Acquires 39 MW San Gorgonio Pass Wind Farm

Salka LLC (doing business as Salka Energy through its subsidiary Salka Cabazon HoldCo LLC) acquired a 39 MW operating wind farm in the San Gorgonio Pass near Palm Springs, California. Salka plans to refurbish and eventually repower the facility to continue generation (estimated to power more than 11,000 homes), expand its California presence, and preserve the project from decommissioning.

ArcLight Capital Partners Affiliate Acquires Clean Energy Future Lordstown

Lordstown owns and operates a 940 MW combined-cycle gas power facility in Warren, Ohio, which is expected to be managed by ArcLight affiliate Alpha Generation after closing.

LS Power Completes Acquisition of Algonquin Power & Utilities’ Renewable Energy Business (Ex-Hydro)

ArcLight Capital Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire InfraBridge’s 50% stake in Invenergy AMPCI Thermal Power (IATP), a jointly owned North American power generation portfolio with ~5.4 GW capacity. The portfolio includes 11 contracted natural gas–fired assets located across seven markets, and Invenergy will retain its existing ownership interest and operational role.
