Arclin Acquires Belle Chemical Company

Arclin completed the acquisition of Belle Chemical Company, a producer of methylamines and derivatives based in Belle, West Virginia, adding a plant of approximately 60 employees. The purchase expands Arclin's North American manufacturing capabilities and diversifies its product presence into adjacent end markets including water treatment, pharmaceuticals/healthcare, agriculture, oil & gas and electronics.

The Jordan Company Acquires Arclin from Lone Star Funds

An affiliate of The Jordan Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Arclin, a Roswell, Georgia-based manufacturer of specialty resins and surface overlays, from funds affiliated with Lone Star Funds. Arclin CEO Brad Bolduc and the senior management team will retain a significant equity stake and continue to lead the business; the company operates 12 manufacturing facilities and has over 600 employees. Terms were not disclosed and the transaction was expected to close in Q3 2021.

Colson Group Acquires ARBCO Industries

Colson Group Holdings has acquired ARBCO Industries, LLC, a 56-year-old Export, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer and leading North American producer of phenolic wheels. The acquisition expands Colson Group's product portfolio and U.S. manufacturing footprint; ARBCO's former owner Paul Hauck will join Colson as Director of Operations for ARBCO.

Wabtec Acquires ARINC Rail Solutions Business from Collins Aerospace

Wabtec Corporation has acquired Collins Aerospace’s ARINC rail solutions business segment to expand its digital and electronics portfolio for rail optimization; financial terms were not disclosed. The ARINC rail solutions business provides dispatch, back-office, PTC integration, customer information, cybersecurity and life-cycle management services for transit, regional, inter-city, commuter, subway and light rail systems across the U.S. and Canada.

Arclin Acquires Polymer Solutions Group

Arclin has completed the acquisition of Polymer Solutions Group (PSG), a manufacturer of proprietary polymer additives, dispersions and release agents serving the rubber, plastics and engineered wood markets. Arclin will operate PSG’s manufacturing facilities in Cleveland, Ohio and Albany, Georgia and an R&D facility in Macon, Georgia; the deal adds approximately 200 employees and expands Arclin’s product capabilities and end-market reach in construction, building products and transportation.

Arclin Acquires DuPont Aramids Business (Kevlar and Nomex)

DuPont completed the divestiture of its Aramids business, which includes the Kevlar and Nomex brands, to Arclin in a transaction valued at about $1.8 billion. As part of the deal, DuPont received approximately $1.2 billion in pre-tax cash, a $300 million note receivable, and a non-controlling equity stake in Arclin.
