TotalEnergies to Acquire Quadra Energy

TotalEnergies has signed agreements with the Aloys Wobben Foundation to acquire the entire share capital of Germany-based renewable electricity aggregator Quadra Energy. The acquisition is subject to relevant regulatory approvals and is intended to strengthen TotalEnergies’ integrated power business in Germany, including aggregation, trading, and corporate PPA/clean firm power offerings.

Iberdrola Acquires Remaining 18.4% of Avangrid for $2.6 Billion

Avangrid has entered into a definitive agreement with Iberdrola under which Iberdrola will acquire the remaining 18.4% of Avangrid shares it does not currently own for $35.75 per share in an all-cash transaction. The merger will make Avangrid a wholly owned subsidiary of Iberdrola, with closing expected in the fourth quarter 2024 subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.

Ardian Acquires Peru-based Hydropower Company

Ardian, through its Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund (ACEEF), has acquired 100% of a Peru-based hydropower company from funds managed by BTG Pactual, Patria Investments and GMR Holding B.V. The acquired portfolio comprises six run-of-river hydroelectric plants with total capacity of 73.4 MW and government-awarded, US dollar–denominated contracts; the deal adds technological diversification and strengthens ACEEF's renewable energy presence in Latin America.

I Squared Capital Acquires Priority Power Management

Priority Power provides turnkey energy management services and private transmission and distribution infrastructure for commercial and industrial customers across more than 40 U.S. states.

Ardian Acquires Stake in Groupe Orion

Ardian Acquires Remaining Stake in Hill Top Energy Center

Ardian has acquired the remaining equity stake in Hill Top Energy Center, giving it 100% ownership and full operational control of the 620 MW combined-cycle gas turbine in western Pennsylvania. The asset sells capacity and energy into the PJM market and the transaction is Ardian Americas Infrastructure Fund V's first energy investment, intended to support long-term growth and reliable power supply for rising electricity demand.
