Terms were not disclosed; John McNulty, Scott Durkin and their team will remain in Austin and will report into Gallagher’s U.S. retail personal lines leadership to expand the firm’s personal lines and small business capabilities in the Austin market.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher) signed a definitive agreement to acquire AssuredPartners, with the transaction expected to close in the first quarter of 2025. The deal value is about $13.45 billion gross (about $12.45 billion net after an estimated $1.0 billion deferred tax asset), and Gallagher expects ~$160 million in synergies and ~$500 million of integration costs. Gallagher subsequently closed the acquisition in August 2025.
