AURELIUS Wachstumskapital (AURELIUS Growth Investments) has acquired the BVN group, a Norderstedt-based provider of meals for senior citizens and school catering that comprises four operating companies and more than 400 employees. The acquisition is positioned as a buy-and-build platform to drive regional growth in institutional catering; shareholders Kirsten and Stefan Brauer will exit as part of a succession solution while management (Keyan and Ramin Forouhideh) remain involved.

AURELIUS Acquires LSG Group from Deutsche Lufthansa AG

AURELIUS has agreed to acquire the LSG Group International, a global airline caterer and onboard retail provider, from Deutsche Lufthansa AG in a carve-out transaction expected to close in Q3 2023 subject to regulatory approvals. The deal includes LSG’s classic catering, onboard retail and food commerce activities (including Retail inMotion and SCIS Air Security Services) and positions AURELIUS to grow the business organically and via add-on acquisitions as a standalone company.

Better Taste Holding GmbH, a portfolio company of AURELIUS Growth Investments (AURELIUS Wachstumskapital), has acquired BVS Catering GmbH & Co. KG, a Mannheim-based catering provider serving schools, kindergartens and day care centers in the Rhine-Neckar region. The transaction is Better Taste's third add-on under AURELIUS Growth Investments and aims to strengthen the platform's market position and regional coverage in Southwest Germany.

Solina Acquires Food Compounds B.V.

French savoury-ingredients group Solina (majority-owned by PE firm Astorg) has completed the acquisition of Food Compounds B.V., a Netherlands-based specialist in powder-based premixes and coating systems for potato processors. The deal strengthens Solina's coating expertise and R&D capabilities as part of its ongoing expansion strategy; financial terms were not disclosed.

Better Taste Group, a portfolio company of AURELIUS Growth Investments, has acquired CASEDA Gastro Services GmbH, a regional catering provider headquartered in Darmstadt that supplies fresh meals to schools, kindergartens and corporate cafeterias. The acquisition (CASEDA employs ~65 staff and operates multiple kitchens across the Rhine-Main region) is the fourth add-on for Better Taste under AURELIUS ownership and expands Better Taste's coverage in southwest Germany.
