Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) has signed a definitive agreement, in partnership with BigHand management led by Sam Toulson, to acquire BigHand Ltd. from Bridgepoint Development Capital and minority co-investor LDC. BigHand is a London-based provider of workflow and matter-pricing software for law firms and professional services; LLCP plans to support organic growth and M&A to expand the company's product portfolio and market position.

Ingersoll-Rand plc has agreed to acquire GPSi Holdings, LLC from Falconhead Capital, LLC to strengthen its telematics and connected technologies portfolio. GPSi, a Sarasota, Florida–based provider of cloud-based telematics and fleet management solutions serving markets such as education, golf and resorts, will expand Ingersoll-Rand's digital connectivity offerings for mobile assets.

Leonard Green & Partners and Hg Take Co-Controlling Stake in IRIS Software Group

The transaction values IRIS at an enterprise value of around £3.15 billion and is intended to support IRIS's continued scaling and expansion in North America; closing is subject to customary regulatory clearances.

IDEX Corporation Acquires Iridian Spectral Technologies

IDEX Corporation entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Iridian Spectral Technologies for CAD 150 million, subject to customary adjustments and closing conditions. Iridian is a privately held thin-film optical filters manufacturer based in Ottawa, Ontario, and the acquisition is expected to expand IDEX’s optical filter capabilities serving laser communications, telecommunications, and life sciences markets. IDEX later completed the acquisition on May 22, 2023.

Iridium Communications Acquires Satelles

Iridium Communications has agreed to acquire Satelles, a provider of satellite-based Satellite Time and Location (STL) services that harden and complement GNSS timing and location systems. Iridium will pay about $115 million for the remaining ~80% of Satelles (it already owned ~20%), will fold STL into a new Iridium business line led by Satelles CEO Dr. Michael O'Connor, and expects the capability to drive significant service revenue growth.
