TravelCenters of America Acquires Two Virginia Travel Centers for $45M

TravelCenters of America Inc. (TA) completed the acquisition of two Interstate 81 travel center locations — Petro Raphine and TA Lexington — for $45 million. The sites, franchised since 2011, are expected to generate approximately $9.0 million of site-level EBITDA in 2023, and Petro Raphine is undergoing renovations to expand retail space and add 170 truck parking spaces (bringing it to nearly 900 spaces).

Berkshire Hathaway Acquires Remaining 20% of Pilot Travel Centers LLC

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has acquired the remaining 20% interest in Pilot Travel Centers LLC from Pilot Corporation pursuant to a settlement agreement, bringing Berkshire's ownership to 100%. The transaction completes Berkshire's consolidation of Pilot Travel Centers under its full ownership; no financial terms were disclosed in the announcement.

The acquisitions expand LVP's growing network of travel centers and strengthen its footprint in the Midwest as part of a broader growth strategy.

Penske Automotive Group Acquires Transolutions Truck Centres

Penske Automotive Group, through its Premier Truck Group subsidiary, acquired Transolutions Truck Centres (TSTC), a five-location medium- and heavy-duty truck and bus dealership network based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The deal expands Premier Truck Group's presence into Manitoba, adds approximately $180 million of expected annualized revenue and about 200 employees (including 59 technicians and 73 service bays).
