Burdette Beckmann Inc. (BBI), a national sales agency based in Fort Lauderdale, completed the acquisition of PROMARK, a sales and marketing agency founded in 1987. The deal expands BBI’s market coverage across 35 states—strengthening its convenience, grocery and confectionery channels—and will support additional investment in analytics, infrastructure and trade management.

ACT’s ~275 team members will join Baker Tilly as the firm expands its Mid-Atlantic footprint; ACT CEO James Hunt will become managing partner for the Pennsylvania and West Virginia markets.

Westbridge Capital Acquires Berg Industrial Service, Inc.

Westbridge Capital Ltd. has completed the acquisition of Berg Industrial Service, Inc., a 50-year-old, second-generation family business headquartered in Ontario that designs, installs and services industrial chilling systems and operates an associated engineering and fabrication business. The transaction includes a 10% equity participation by the Westbridge Capital Partners Income Trust. Management continuity was announced with Mark Edwards continuing as CEO, Rebecca Carothers joining as COO, and Michael Turner joining the board.

The Marzetti Company to Acquire Bachan's, Inc. for $400 Million

The Marzetti Company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bachan's, Inc., a Japanese-American barbecue sauce brand, in a deal valued at $400 million (subject to customary adjustments). The transaction is expected to close before June 30, 2026, pending regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions, and Marzetti plans to fund it with cash on hand and additional financing.

gWorks Acquires BBI, Inc.

The add-on strengthens gWorks' municipal and utility software capabilities and expands its footprint in the southern U.S.; the acquisition was effective February 27, 2025.

The acquisition expands AMCON’s geographic reach and capabilities in convenience and foodservice distribution, and will allow AMCON to continue serving Burklund’s customers from the existing distribution centers.
