Cargill and Continental Grain Joint Venture to Acquire Sanderson Farms for $203 per Share

Sanderson Farms stockholders approved a previously announced agreement under which a joint venture between Cargill and Continental Grain will acquire Sanderson Farms for $203 per share in cash. After closing, Sanderson Farms will be combined with Wayne Farms (a Continental Grain subsidiary) to form a new, privately held poultry business expected to close in Q4 2021 or Q1 2022.
