CECO Environmental Acquires Kemco Systems

The deal expands CECO's industrial water capabilities and North American presence, and Kemco reported approximately $22 million in 2022 revenue and an installed base of more than 7,000 systems.

CECO Environmental Corp. acquired Compass Water Solutions, a supplier of membrane-based industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, for a total purchase price of $12.5 million. The acquisition (completed May 2022) expands CECO's industrial water capabilities, adds a short-cycle revenue mix, and is expected to be accretive to EBITDA, EPS, and free cash flow in 2022.

May River Capital Acquires CECO's Global Pump Solutions to Form Tusk Industrial

May River Capital has acquired CECO Environmental’s Global Pump Solutions (GPS) business — including the Dean, Fybroc and Sethco pump brands — for an enterprise value of approximately $110 million in cash, closing March 31, 2025. May River will organize the acquired brands under a newly formed platform, Tusk Industrial, and partner with the existing management team to invest in product development, market expansion and potential add-ons; CECO will use proceeds to pay down debt and fund growth initiatives.

Atlas Copco Acquires CPC Pumps International Inc.

Atlas Copco has acquired CPC Pumps International Inc., a Burlington, Ontario-based designer, manufacturer and servicer of custom-engineered centrifugal pumps. CPC Pumps (110 employees; ~MSEK 385 in FY2020) will join Atlas Copco's Gas & Process division within the Compressor Technique business area to add complementary pump technology and strengthen its market position in North America.

Island Pump and Tank Acquires Petroleum Equipment Construction, Inc.

Island Pump and Tank, a portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, has acquired Petroleum Equipment Construction, Inc. (PEC), a Lockhart, Florida–based provider of maintenance, testing, repair and installation services for petroleum storage, fueling systems and point-of-sale equipment. The add-on expands Island Pump’s geographic footprint into Florida and enhances service coverage for its existing customers; Capital Southwest Corporation provided financing for the transaction.

Crescendo Capital Partners and Construction Capital Group Acquire Peoria Industrial Piping Company (PIPCO)

Crescendo Capital Partners, together with operators from Construction Capital Group, has acquired Peoria Industrial Piping Company (PIPCO) and created a new holding company, Essential Facility & Infrastructure Services (EFI Services), with PIPCO as the first operating company. Fidus Capital provided term debt and an equity co-investment; the Cicciarelli family (sellers) retain equity and will remain in leadership roles as the sponsors build a regionally dominant MEP and fire protection platform in the Midwest.
