Cognizant Acquires 10th Magnitude

Cognizant has agreed to acquire Chicago-based 10th Magnitude, a Microsoft Azure-focused cloud specialist, to deepen Cognizant’s Azure capabilities within its Microsoft Business Group. The acquisition brings 10th Magnitude’s advisory, application modernization, managed services and data intelligence expertise into Cognizant; the deal was expected to close in Q3 2020 and was later completed (seller included Pamlico Capital). Financial terms were not disclosed in the initial announcement.

Cognizant Acquires Mobica

Cognizant has agreed to acquire Mobica, a Manchester-based IoT and embedded software engineering services provider, to broaden its IoT and product engineering capabilities. The deal adds nearly 900 people across Europe and North America (including ~550 engineers in Poland); the acquisition is expected to close in February 2023 and financial terms were not disclosed.

Cognizant Acquires New Signature

Cognizant announced it will acquire New Signature, a leading Microsoft-focused cloud transformation specialist, to form a new Microsoft Business Group and expand Cognizant's hyperscale cloud advisory and managed services capabilities. The deal (financial terms undisclosed) will bring New Signature’s more than 500 cloud experts into Cognizant and is expected to close in Q3 2020, subject to regulatory approvals.

HTEC Acquires Cognits

HTEC has acquired Cognits, a nearshore software engineering partner headquartered in Austin, Texas, with a delivery center in Guatemala, to expand HTEC's presence in Latin America and unlock same-time-zone delivery capabilities for U.S. clients. The deal gives HTEC access to Cognits' regional talent pool and strengthens its nearshore delivery capacity for clients in financial services and other sectors.

Cognizant Acquires Softvision LLC from Tower Arch Capital

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation signed an agreement to acquire Softvision, LLC from Tower Arch Capital; the deal was expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018. Softvision is a digital product engineering and design firm with over 2,850 employees across 25 studios in 11 countries, and the acquisition expands Cognizant's digital product engineering capabilities.

Cognizant Acquires Devbridge to Expand Digital Engineering Capabilities

Cognizant has agreed to acquire Devbridge, a Chicago‑headquartered digital product and technology consultancy, to expand its software product engineering capabilities and global delivery footprint. The deal adds more than 600 engineers, designers and product managers across Lithuania, Poland, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada; Devbridge employees will join Cognizant Softvision. Financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction was expected to close in late 2021.
