Commnet Broadband Acquires Sacred Wind Enterprises

Commnet Broadband, a regional bandwidth infrastructure owner and operator and wholly owned subsidiary of ATN International, will acquire Sacred Wind Enterprises, a privately owned rural telecommunications provider in New Mexico. The deal is intended to expand Commnet’s infrastructure reach and broadband services in the rural Southwest, and includes FCC and other approvals before closing. A later update states the acquisition has been completed.

Northleaf Capital Partners Acquires Controlling Interest in Mercury Broadband

Northleaf Capital Partners has acquired a controlling interest in Mercury Broadband and will invest up to $230 million to accelerate Mercury's deployment of high-speed fiber and fixed wireless broadband across underserved rural markets in the U.S. Midwest. The capital will support construction of more than 12,000 miles of outside plant and hundreds of fixed wireless access sites across select markets in Kansas, Indiana, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois.
