CrowdStrike Acquires Flow Security

CrowdStrike to Acquire Seraphic Security

CrowdStrike has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Seraphic Security to extend its Falcon platform into the browser with continuous, in-session browser runtime protection. The integration is intended to support CrowdStrike’s Next-Gen Identity Security strategy by combining Falcon endpoint telemetry and threat intelligence with Seraphic’s browser-native controls and SGNL’s continuous authorization technology. The acquisition is expected to close in CrowdStrike’s first quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.

The acquisition positions Lookout to offer an integrated endpoint-to-cloud security platform serving large enterprises and government customers; CipherCloud’s founder Pravin Kothari will join Lookout as EVP, Product and Strategy, SASE. Financial terms were not disclosed.

CrowdStrike Acquires Preempt Security

CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. agreed to acquire Preempt Security for approximately $96 million (about $86 million cash and $10 million in stock/options) to bolster its Zero Trust and conditional access capabilities. The acquisition, expected to close in CrowdStrike's fiscal third quarter 2021, will integrate Preempt's identity- and behavior-based access controls into the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to improve protection against identity-based and insider threats.
