Thoma Bravo agreed to acquire Darktrace, a cybersecurity artificial intelligence platform provider, for an all-cash deal valued at about $5.315 billion (enterprise value about $4.992 billion). The acquisition was later formally completed, with the Scheme of Arrangement becoming effective.

Darktrace Acquires Mira Security

Mira Security’s engineering teams in South Africa and the United States will join Darktrace R&D to accelerate development of higher-performance hardware, improved encrypted-traffic visibility, and enhanced decryption for regulated industries.

Darktrace Acquires Cybersprint

Darktrace has agreed to acquire Cybersprint B.V., an attack surface management company, for €47.5 million payable approximately 75% in cash and 25% in equity (around 12.5x ARR). The acquisition, expected to close on or around March 1, 2022, will integrate Cybersprint's outside-in attack surface data into Darktrace's Prevent product family and adds a European R&D centre in The Hague, Netherlands.

Canopy Aerospace & Defense Acquires Tods Technology

Canopy Aerospace & Defense, a portfolio company of Trive Capital, has acquired Tods Technology Ltd., a Portland, Dorset-based designer and manufacturer of advanced composite structures and acoustic materials for the maritime defense sector. The add-on acquisition expands Canopy A&D's technical capabilities in sonar domes and acoustic enclosures, strengthens transatlantic supply-chain resilience, and will see Tods operate under the Canopy A&D umbrella with further investment in infrastructure and people.

DeepSeas Acquires GreyCastle Security
