Cor Partners, the Atlanta-based parent company of insurance and forensic services businesses (backed by BW Forsyth Partners), has acquired DBI Construction Consultants, a New York–based provider of building and construction consulting and loss/damage measurement services. The acquisition will form a new division within the Cor Partners family and combines DBI with existing Envista Forensics building consulting resources to expand capabilities, coverage and service offerings to insurance and legal clients.

Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG) Acquires DW Burns & Partner Ltd

Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG), a portfolio company of Cairngorm Capital Partners, has acquired DW Burns & Partner Ltd, a family-run plumbers' merchant and bathroom showroom with branches in Woking and Farnham. The acquisition is an IBMG add-on to expand its specialist plumbing and heating network into Surrey; DW Burns' owner Toby Hoyle will remain with the business to support integration and succession.

GreenbergFarrow Acquires DBI Architects

Atlanta-based GreenbergFarrow (GF) has acquired DBI Architects, a Reston, Virginia architecture and interior design firm founded in 1973. DBI — which has 34 employees and provides architecture, interior design, master planning, construction administration, furniture and move/facility management services — will join GF's platform; the transaction closed in March 2024 and Blackcastle served as exclusive advisor to DBI. Financial terms were not disclosed.

FTI Consulting Acquires Madison Consulting Group

FTI Consulting has acquired Madison Consulting Group, an actuarial consulting firm with 25 billable professionals and offices in Madison, Georgia and Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The acquisition expands FTI's property and casualty actuarial and compliance capabilities within its Global Insurance Services practice; terms were not disclosed.

Amwins Group, Inc. Acquires CBIZ M.T. Donahoe & Associates (MTDA)

Amwins Group, Inc. has acquired CBIZ M.T. Donahoe & Associates, LLC ("MTDA"), a Maryland-based general agent specializing in employee and individual benefits. MTDA will join Amwins' Group Benefits division (Amwins Connect), with MTDA president Michael Donahoe Jr. joining the Amwins Connect leadership team; terms were not disclosed. The deal strengthens Amwins' Mid-Atlantic presence and provides increased access to carriers and brokers across the region.

Neuberger Berman to Acquire McKinsey’s MIO Partners

McKinsey & Company and Neuberger Berman have entered into an agreement for MIO Partners—McKinsey’s in-house investment and wealth manager for partners, employees and alumni—to join Neuberger. Under the agreement, Neuberger will onboard MIO’s investment teams and its advisory business serving McKinsey affiliates, with MIO’s Special Situations strategy expected to complement Neuberger’s broader platform across public and private markets.
