Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital has partnered with Cleveland-based System Seals, a designer and manufacturer of proprietary sealing solutions. Founder and CEO Arnold von Engelbrechten will retain a meaningful ownership stake and continue to lead the business as Vance Street supports product development, international expansion and targeted M&A.

Ergoseal Acquires Performance Sealing Solutions LLC

Ergoseal, a Carol Stream, Illinois-based manufacturer of high-performance sealing solutions, has acquired Performance Sealing Solutions LLC (PSS) effective July 10, 2024. The acquisition brings PSS’s PTFE sealing technologies and engineered sealing products into Ergoseal’s portfolio to expand product offerings, strengthen R&D and manufacturing capabilities, and better serve industrial, aerospace and food & beverage end markets.

Sur-Seal Acquires Mueller

Sur-Seal, a Heartwood Partners–backed engineered sealing solutions company headquartered in Cincinnati, acquired Mueller, a North Carolina-based provider of custom die cutting, slitting, laminating and CNC cutting operating out of a 141,000 sq. ft. facility. The acquisition expands Sur-Seal's engineering, converting and manufacturing capabilities and adds end-market exposure in HVAC, aerospace, medical, renewable energy and electronics while preserving Mueller's employee-centric culture under the Stober family ownership transition.

Roundliner (AURELIUS Growth Investments portfolio) Acquires Südplast Group

Roundliner Holding, a portfolio company of AURELIUS Growth Investments, has acquired Südplast Group (Südplast GmbH and PCM International SE). Südplast, headquartered in Baiersbronn, Germany with a production facility in Zbraslav (Czech Republic) and ~40 employees, expands Roundliner's industrial packaging footprint and product offering across Germany and the Czech Republic.

JBT Corporation Acquires Proseal UK Limited and Prime Equipment Group, Inc.

JBT Corporation completed the acquisition of Proseal UK Limited (tray sealing technology) and Prime Equipment Group, Inc. (turnkey primary and water re-use solutions for the poultry industry). The purchases (approximately $280 million for Proseal and $65 million for Prime) expand JBT's FoodTech capabilities to offer fuller line solutions for poultry customers and to accelerate deployment of automation and water-reuse technologies internationally.
