EVI Industries Acquires Laundry Pro of Florida

(NYSE American: EVI) executed and completed a definitive agreement to acquire Lakeland, Florida–based Laundry Pro of Florida, Inc., a distributor of commercial laundry equipment that also provides installation and maintenance services. The acquisition — EVI's 27th overall and 11th in the Southeast — expands EVI's market share in Florida and is expected to be accretive to results; consideration was paid in cash.

The bolt-on acquisition—made through Hillman’s wholly-owned subsidiary Big Time Products, LLC—adds Intex’s product suite and manufacturing/distribution capabilities (a facility outside Atlanta, Georgia) to Hillman’s portfolio; financial terms were not disclosed.

Tidewater Investment Company Acquires Technical Coating International

Wilmington-based Tidewater Investment Company has acquired Technical Coating International Inc. (TCI), a Leland, North Carolina contract coater and laminator, in a transaction completed in February. Tidewater plans to keep TCI’s core leadership in place while appointing operating partner Bill Brinkley as CEO and pursue expansion into new end markets such as food and beverage packaging, military applications, upholstery, and outdoor coverings.
