Berlin Packaging Acquires Roma International PLC

Berlin Packaging has acquired Roma International PLC, a UK-based supplier of glass and plastic bottles, jars and closures for high-end cosmetics and personal care brands. The deal expands Berlin Packaging’s capabilities and product range in the cosmetics and personal care vertical across Europe and follows the group's continued European acquisition strategy.

SC Pack Group Acquires Frapak Packaging

The SC Pack Group, backed by private equity investor MML Capital, has acquired Frapak Packaging — a longstanding partner and European supplier of glass and sustainable plastic packaging. The deal expands SC Pack’s European footprint and product portfolio, creating a combined group with ~€350m revenue and roughly 500 packaging professionals across more than 15 countries.

Berlin Packaging acquired Andler Packaging Group, a value-added distributor of glass, plastic and metal containers and closures, expanding its pharmaceutical and nutraceutical capabilities and adding multiple distribution centers across New England. The family-owned Andler business — founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1893 — will retain all employees and locations as part of Berlin Packaging's North American expansion.

ProAmpac Acquires Rapid Action Packaging (RAP)

ProAmpac has acquired Rapid Action Packaging (RAP), a U.K.-based manufacturer of cellulose-based sustainable packaging for ready-to-eat and fresh prepared foods. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's manufacturing capabilities and sustainable product offering for retail food markets; terms were not disclosed and Ludgate Investments exited its investment in RAP.

The add-on strengthens ProAmpac's presence in Canada and expands its capabilities and customer reach in e-commerce, healthcare and logistics end markets.
