Renesas Electronics Corporation completed the acquisition of Celeno Communications on December 20, 2021, for approximately US$315 million, with payments to be made progressively upon achieving certain milestones. Celeno — an Israel‑based developer of advanced Wi‑Fi chipsets and software (including Wi‑Fi 6/6E solutions and Doppler Imaging technology) — becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas, expanding Renesas' connectivity and Wi‑Fi product portfolio for IoT, industrial, home networking and automotive applications.
