Datadog has acquired CoScreen, a real-time collaboration platform for engineering teams, to add in-product screen sharing and joint workspaces to its observability and security platform. The deal brings CoScreen's capabilities for pair programming, incident response and debugging into Datadog's SaaS offering to improve developer productivity and reduce mean time to resolution.

Datadog, the cloud monitoring and security SaaS provider, has acquired Timber Technologies, the developer of Vector, a high-performance, vendor-agnostic observability data pipeline. The Timber leadership team (including CEO Zach Sherman and CTO Ben Johnson) and the core Timber team will join Datadog to integrate Vector’s capabilities for collecting, enriching, transforming and routing logs, metrics and traces into Datadog’s platform.

Nubank Acquires Hyperplane to Accelerate AI-First Strategy

Nubank has acquired Hyperplane, a Silicon Valley data-intelligence startup that builds foundational models for banks, to accelerate its AI-first strategy and deliver hyper-personalized financial products. Hyperplane’s platform and team will integrate with Nubank’s data stack to power models across risk, collections, and marketing for Nubank’s 100M+ customers; financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition extends Datadog’s cloud security and application protection capabilities, enabling unified observability and security for development, operations and security teams; the deal was announced Feb 11, 2021 and expected to close in Q2 2021.
