Borgman Capital Acquires Southeastern Meats

Milwaukee-based private equity firm Borgman Capital has acquired Birmingham, Alabama-based Southeastern Meats, a producer and distributor of frozen vegetables, meats, seafood and specialty items. Borgman said it will invest in Southeastern Meats' Pick 5 and Southeastern Vegetables programs and support the company's continued geographic expansion into the East Coast and Midwest.

The deal (terms undisclosed) strengthens Tropical Cheese’s meats offering, adds cold‑chain logistics capabilities, gives the Vieluf family a rolled equity stake, and expands the combined company’s reach across the U.S. East Coast.

Industrias Bachoco Acquires RYC Alimentos

Industrias Bachoco S.A.B. de C.V. has completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of RYC Alimentos, a multiproduct meat processor and distributor with productive facilities in Puebla and ~21 retail stores across four Mexican states. The transaction includes two plants and was valued at approximately $61 million in stockholders' equity; RYC reports around $150 million in annual sales and employs more than 900 people.
