Bowman Consulting Acquires MTX Surveying

Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. (Bowman) has acquired MTX Surveying, Inc., a Marshall, Texas-based geospatial, land survey and project management firm. The acquisition (financed with cash, seller notes, and equity) brings over 60 MTX employees into Bowman, is expected to add about $9 million of annualized net service billing, and expands Bowman’s energy- and utility-oriented geospatial and surveying capabilities.

Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: BWMN) acquired 1519 Surveying, LLC, a Waco, Texas–based surveying, geomatics and civil engineering firm with offices in Waco and Fort Worth. The deal, funded with cash, seller financing and stock, adds roughly 35 professionals and is expected to be immediately accretive—initially contributing more than $5.5 million of annualized net service billing—while expanding Bowman’s Texas surveying, infrastructure and renewable energy capabilities.

(Nasdaq: BWMN) has acquired High Mesa Consulting Group, a 46-year-old multidisciplinary surveying, mapping, subsurface utility and civil engineering firm headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The acquisition expands Bowman’s presence in the Southwestern U.S., adds UAV-based geospatial capabilities and brings High Mesa’s ~22 employees and public-sector client relationships into Bowman’s national engineering platform.

Insurity Acquires SpatialKey, Inc.

Insurity completed the acquisition of SpatialKey, Inc. (closed December 30, 2019) to expand its data and analytics capabilities for the property & casualty insurance market. The deal brings SpatialKey’s geospatial analytics, data enrichment and risk-intelligence solutions into Insurity’s cloud platform to enhance underwriting, exposure management and claims analytics; terms were not disclosed.
