Marsh McLennan (through its Marsh McLennan Agency business) has acquired McGriff Insurance Services, LLC for $7.75 billion in cash, a deal that strengthens Marsh McLennan Agency’s capabilities across commercial property & casualty, employee benefits, management liability and personal lines. McGriff—an affiliate of TIH—reported roughly $1.3 billion of trailing twelve-month revenue and will bring more than 3,500 employees into Marsh McLennan; the transaction closed following customary regulatory approvals.

Alliant Acquires Confie from Abry Partners

Alliant Insurance Services entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire Confie, the largest personal lines insurance distributor in the U.S., which serves more than 1 million customers and employs over 3,500 people. Confie is currently a portfolio company of Abry Partners; the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2021 subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, with terms not disclosed.

AHG will join Alliant Consumer Group to expand Alliant's presence in the ACA marketplace; terms were not disclosed and the entire AHG team will join Alliant.

The acquisition expands MMA's presence and capabilities in West Texas, bringing Perkins' commercial and personal lines expertise (including oil & gas, trucking, farm & ranch, and restaurant industries) into MMA's national platform; Perkins' employees, including CEO Mark Perkins, will remain in their existing offices.
