Watts Water Technologies Acquires Superior Boiler

Watts Water Technologies, through its subsidiaries, has completed the acquisition of Superior Boiler, a designer and manufacturer of customized steam and hot water boilers used in commercial, institutional and industrial applications. The deal (funded with cash on hand) brings Superior's portfolio and capabilities into Watts' plumbing, heating and water-quality product lines to expand custom boiler offerings and drive cross-selling opportunities.

Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (B&W) acquired Fossil Power Systems, Inc. (FPS), a Dartmouth, Nova Scotia-based designer and manufacturer of hydrogen, natural gas and renewable combustion equipment, with the transaction closing on February 1, 2022. The acquisition expands B&W's combustion, control and fuel-conversion capabilities—supporting hydrogen firing and aftermarket growth across power generation, pulp & paper and industrial markets.

Wabtec Acquires Bloom Engineering for $69M

Wabtec Corporation has acquired Bloom Engineering, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based provider of industrial burners and combustion systems, for $69 million in cash. The purchase expands Wabtec’s heat transfer and energy solutions capabilities and is expected to be immediately accretive to EPS, with synergies to be realized over the next three years.

SBP Holdings Acquires Watts Steam Store

Industrial Physics, Inc. (a portfolio company of Union Park Capital) acquired C&W Specialist Equipment Ltd., a UK-based developer and manufacturer of corrosion and environmental test chambers. C&W will be integrated into TQC Sheen B.V. to expand TQC Sheen’s paint, coatings and surface-analysis product portfolio and to leverage Industrial Physics’ global sales and service network.
