Western's Smokehouse Acquires Thrushwood Farms

Family-owned Western's Smokehouse of Greentop, Missouri has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Thrushwood Farms of Galesburg, Illinois. Both companies are backed by investor group Charis Consumer Partners; the deal consolidates manufacturing capacity and capabilities (Thrushwood's retail store will close to focus on expansion) and the Hankes family becomes a shareholder in Western's.

FAT Brands Acquires Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill

FAT Brands Inc. has acquired the Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill restaurant chain from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners for $30 million. The purchase adds 61 corporate Smokey Bones locations across 16 states, is expected to increase adjusted EBITDA by about $10 million, and expands FAT Brands' polished dining portfolio.

Hickory Furniture Collective Acquires Old Hickory Furniture Company

Hickory Furniture Collective has acquired Old Hickory Furniture Company of Shelbyville, Indiana, bringing the historic brand into its family of American-made hickory furniture businesses. The Morrison family sold the business but Old Hickory's president, Bob Morrison, will remain in his role as the company is integrated to expand the buyer's retail and contract market presence while preserving manufacturing in Indiana.

MTY Food Group Acquires BBQ Holdings for $17.25 per Share

MTY Food Group Inc. completed the acquisition of BBQ Holdings, Inc. through a merger, with each outstanding BBQ Holdings share converted into the right to receive US$17.25 in cash. As a result, BBQ Holdings became an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of MTY and its common stock ceased trading on Nasdaq; the BBQ support center will continue to operate in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

AUA Private Equity Partners Acquires Western Smokehouse Partners

AUA Private Equity Partners has acquired Western Smokehouse Partners from Charis Consumer Collaborative, marking Charis’ realization of its investment. During Charis’ ownership Western expanded through facility investments and add-on deals (Thrushwood Farms, Prairie Sky Snacks), growing headcount from about 60 to over 400 and operating multiple manufacturing sites out of Galesburg, Illinois.

Switchback Capital Acquires Smokey Mo's TX BBQ
