Private equity firm New Water Capital completed acquisitions of Bulk Lift International LLC and Bagwell Supply Ltd., combining two North American designers, manufacturers and distributors of flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs) and complementary packaging products. The transactions expand the combined company's manufacturing and distribution footprint across the United States, Canada and Mexico and mark additional platform/add-on activity for New Water Capital Fund II.

Field Packaging Solutions Acquires Bag Supply Company

Field Packaging Solutions, a self-funded private family office, has acquired Bag Supply Company, a Birmingham, Alabama-based manufacturer and distributor of FIBCs, multi-wall paper bags, woven polypropylene bags and other packaging products. The transaction closed on February 1, 2023 and is intended to expand Field's packaging capabilities and product footprint across North America while providing long-term stability and growth resources for Bag Supply.

PPC Flexible Packaging Acquires Custom Poly Bag, Inc.

PPC Flexible Packaging LLC, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based flexible packaging manufacturer, has acquired Custom Poly Bag, Inc., a family-owned flexible packaging converter based in Alliance, Ohio. The deal expands PPC's manufacturing footprint and capabilities in film extrusion, printing and bag operations, and is the latest add-on in PPC's multi-year acquisition strategy.

ProAmpac Acquires Rapid Action Packaging (RAP)

ProAmpac has acquired Rapid Action Packaging (RAP), a U.K.-based manufacturer of cellulose-based sustainable packaging for ready-to-eat and fresh prepared foods. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's manufacturing capabilities and sustainable product offering for retail food markets; terms were not disclosed and Ludgate Investments exited its investment in RAP.

The deal is B2B's second add-on since GenNx360's investment in October 2020 and is intended to expand the platform's regional footprint and service capabilities in industrial packaging.

The deal is an add-on to Flex Pack’s platform to expand manufacturing capabilities and capabilities in flexible packaging as the platform pursues additional acquisitions.
