Forward Air Corporation has agreed to acquire the assets of Value Logistics, Inc., a Memphis-based intermodal drayage provider, for $2.25 million. The acquisition (expected to close in October 2020) expands Forward Air's intermodal drayage capabilities and strengthens its presence in the Memphis market; Value Logistics generates approximately $6 million in annual revenue and operates with about 20 employees and ~30 independent contractors.

Forward Air Acquires CLW Delivery, Inc.

Forward Air Corporation entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of CLW Delivery, Inc. for $5.5 million in cash, a transaction expected to close in October 2020. The acquisition expands Forward Air’s Final Mile footprint into 14 additional markets and adds CLW’s in-home installation capabilities; CLW is expected to contribute about $20 million of revenue and $1 million of EBITDA on an annualized basis.

Forward Air Acquires J&P Hall Express

Forward Air Corporation agreed to acquire the assets of J&P Hall Express, a privately held expedited transportation provider headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The asset purchase (expected to close in May 2021) expands Forward Air's LTL pickup-and-delivery footprint in southern Georgia and northern Florida, adding approximately $15.8 million in annual revenue, ~70 trucks and about 110 employees.

Forward Air Acquires Proficient Transport to Expand Intermodal Drayage

Hub Group Acquires Forward Air Final Mile

FAFM — a residential final-mile delivery and appliance installation provider with 46 company-operated facilities and $289 million of trailing-12-month revenue — will operate under the Hub Group Final Mile brand and expand Hub Group’s appliance delivery and installation capabilities.

Fastfrate Group to Acquire Omnitrans Inc. (Including Metro Customs Brokers and Omnitrans China)

Fastfrate Group has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Omnitrans Inc., a Montreal-headquartered international freight forwarding and customs brokerage firm. The deal is expected to close in Spring 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals, and will expand Fastfrate’s capabilities beyond North America into key global trade lanes, including services supporting shipments between Asia and North America.
