Wynnchurch Capital Acquires Boss Industries from Strait Lane Capital

Wynnchurch Capital has acquired Boss Industries, LLC, a leading supplier of vehicle-mounted air compression and generator systems, from investors led by Strait Lane Capital Partners. The transaction completes Strait Lane's exit (an investment made in 2014) and was supported by debt financing from LBC Credit Partners; BB&T Securities and Foley & Lardner served as advisors on the preceding investor exit.

CenterGate Capital, which partnered with Owen since 2018, sold the company to Wynnchurch to enable further geographic expansion, capability investment and accelerated growth under Wynnchurch's ownership.

Wynnchurch Capital, a Chicago-area private equity firm, has acquired The Wheel Group, a designer and distributor of branded aftermarket wheels, specialty tires and related accessories based in Ontario, California. Wynnchurch said the investment will be a new platform to accelerate TWG's growth, leveraging the company's portfolio of proprietary brands, sourcing capabilities and 20 U.S. and Canadian sales and distribution centers.

The seller was Incline Equity Partners; Wynnchurch said it will support Charter's next phase of growth, expanding capabilities and pursuing strategic acquisitions.
