Altus Fire and Life Safety, a fire and life safety platform backed by AE Industrial Partners, has acquired Priority Fire and Security, a Clinton, Massachusetts-based provider of fire and security system design, installation, monitoring and maintenance. Priority Fire's founder and president, Steve Prior, will remain active with the business; the deal expands Altus's Honeywell-aligned capabilities and service footprint in the Northeast as an add-on to its platform.

BK Systems' founder Karl Klardie and his daughter Beth Mortell retain a minority stake; terms were not disclosed. The deal is an add-on to the Altus platform and expands its presence and Honeywell NOTIFIER ESD capability across Northern New England.
