Energy Capital Partners (ECP) has acquired Triple Oak Power from EnCap Energy Transition Fund I and its co-investors Yorktown Partners and Mercuria Energy. Triple Oak, a Portland-based wind project developer with a pipeline of more than 8.0 GW, will partner with ECP to accelerate project development and scale its renewable energy platform in the U.S.

McArron Partners, Benchmark’s existing lead investor, retains its investment and plans to commit additional capital while Acacia intends to use its capital base to accelerate Benchmark’s acquisition and field-optimization strategy.

Oaktree Leads $250M Investment in Priority Power

Tailwater Capital LLC has signed definitive agreements to acquire Tall Oak Midstream II and Tall Oak Midstream III from EnCap Flatrock Midstream. The transactions — executed via Tailwater Energy Fund III (Tall Oak III) and Tailwater Energy Fund IV (Tall Oak II) — will be integrated operationally with Tailwater's portfolio company Connect Midstream to expand pipeline, processing and compression capacity in the Arkoma STACK basin. Financial terms were not disclosed.

CNX Resources Acquires Apex Energy II Upstream and Midstream Business

CNX Resources Corporation closed the acquisition of the natural gas upstream and associated midstream business of Apex Energy II, LLC, a portfolio company of funds managed by Carnelian Energy Capital Management, for approximately $505 million (effective Oct. 1, 2024). The bolt-on expands CNX's Marcellus and Utica leasehold in the Appalachian Basin (~36,000 net acres, including significant undeveloped Utica and Marcellus acreage) and adds existing midstream infrastructure expected to be immediately accretive to free cash flow.
