Repsol Acquires ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group

Repsol agreed to acquire US renewable developer ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group/547 Energy for $768 million, adding a 20,000 MW pipeline and onshore wind development capabilities. The acquisition gives Repsol a significant onshore wind growth platform in the United States and brings ConnectGen’s development team into Repsol Renewables to accelerate the company’s international renewables expansion and 2030 capacity targets.

424 Capital has completed the acquisition of QE Solar, a Cranford, New Jersey-based provider of operations and maintenance (O&M) services for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems. The investment will provide capital to support QE Solar's nationwide workforce growth and expand its capabilities in solar and battery storage services; QE Solar employs over 80 field technicians and engineers and services more than 2.0 GW of C&I solar installations.

NEO Energy and Repsol Resources UK Combine to Form NEO NEXT

NEO Energy and Repsol Resources UK have agreed a strategic merger to create NEO NEXT, a jointly owned upstream producer on the UK Continental Shelf. Under the terms, NEO will hold 55% and Repsol UK 45% of the combined business; Repsol will retain USD 1.8 billion of related decommissioning liabilities. Completion is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected in Q3 2025.

The deal gives Generate entry into the front-of-the-meter battery storage market to expand its grid-connected storage capabilities and accelerate deployment of energy storage projects for utilities and offtakers.
