Ontic, the Austin-based protective intelligence software provider, has acquired SIGMA Threat Management Associates to integrate SIGMA’s threat assessment protocols and subject-matter expertise into Ontic’s protective intelligence platform. Dr. Marisa Randazzo, SIGMA’s founder and CEO, joins Ontic as Executive Director for the Ontic Center of Excellence to lead strategic consulting and services supporting Ontic clients across corporate, education and government sectors.

TransDigm Acquires Raptor Scientific for $655M

TransDigm Group Incorporated has completed the acquisition of Raptor Labs Holdco, LLC (Raptor Scientific) from L Squared Capital Partners for approximately $655 million in cash. Raptor Scientific is a manufacturer of complex test and measurement solutions serving aerospace and defense markets, expected to generate about $90 million in 2024 revenue and employs roughly 170 people across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.

Raptor Technologies Acquires SchoolPass

Raptor Technologies, a school safety software platform backed by Thoma Bravo and JMI Equity, has acquired SchoolPass, a provider of cloud-based attendance automation, dismissal management, visitor management and emergency management software for K-12 schools. Financial terms were not disclosed; SchoolPass founder Mark Ruiters joins Raptor as chief strategy officer and Vicksburg Capital Partners served as SchoolPass's exclusive financial advisor.

Sigma7 Acquires Risk & Strategic Management, Corp.

(RSM), a provider of risk consulting, business continuity and accredited security-focused training delivered via e-learning and an 87-acre immersive training facility. RSM founder Dr. Mike Blyth will remain CEO and all employees will stay in place; terms were not disclosed. The deal expands Sigma7's platform capabilities in training, crisis management and global risk services.

Raptor Technologies Acquires SmartPass

The deal integrates SmartPass's hall-pass technology into Raptor's suite of safety solutions, with IKONA Partners advising SmartPass and Reach Capital and Goodwin Procter advising Raptor.
