Aptiv Acquires Wind River from TPG Capital

Aptiv PLC completed the acquisition of Wind River, a provider of intelligent edge and embedded software, from TPG Capital. The transaction, announced in January 2022 and completed in early 2023, values Wind River at $3.5 billion (adjusted from an earlier $4.3 billion agreed price) and is intended to expand Aptiv's software capabilities for software-defined vehicles and other edge-to-cloud markets.
