The deal is intended to expand GameSquare’s talent management and creator-led offerings, and is expected to be accretive to profitability beginning in 2025.

GameSquare Esports Acquires Cut+Sew/Zoned (Swingman LLC)

GameSquare Esports Inc. has completed the acquisition of 100% of the membership units of Swingman LLC (dba Cut+Sew and Zoned), a Los Angeles–based gaming and lifestyle marketing agency. The deal, funded with cash and GameSquare common shares plus potential earnouts, is intended to add marketing and creative capabilities to GameSquare's portfolio and support growth of its Complexity Gaming brand and agency relationships.

Ziff Davis / IGN Entertainment Acquires Gamer Network

Ziff Davis, through its IGN Entertainment division, acquired Gamer Network, a U.K.-based portfolio of gaming and entertainment publications including Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, VG247 and Rock Paper Shotgun. The purchase (terms not disclosed) expands Ziff Davis/IGN's global audience, product lineup and presence in the U.K. gaming media market; the assets were acquired from ReedPop.

Scopely to Acquire GSN Games From Sony Pictures Entertainment
