Prosperity Partners Acquires Wiener and Garg (W&G)

Prosperity Partners, a Chicago-headquartered accounting platform backed by Unity Partners, has completed the acquisition of Wiener and Garg (W&G), a Rockville, Maryland-based tax, accounting and advisory firm founded in 1980. The deal expands Prosperity's presence in the Greater Washington, D.C. area; W&G partners Subhash Garg and Vikesh Bansal will remain with the business and all W&G employees will join Prosperity's Employee Purpose Plan.

Cohen & Company Acquires Tax & Wealth Management, Inc.

Cohen & Company, a U.S. tax and accounting firm, is acquiring Tax and Wealth Management, Inc. (TWM), a boutique CPA firm based in downtown Cleveland. The deal is expected to close in early January 2025 and will bring TWM’s ~15 professionals into Cohen & Company to expand its private client services for family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Waverly Advisors Acquires 9258 Wealth Management

Waverly Advisors, a Birmingham-based RIA backed by Wealth Partners Capital Group and HGGC's Aspire Holdings, acquired 9258 Wealth Management, a Cincinnati-based investment advisory and tax preparation firm. The deal adds three Ohio offices and approximately $1.0 billion in AUM, brings a team of 24 professionals to Waverly, and closed on October 18, 2024, increasing Waverly's AUM to about $14.4 billion.
