GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, has acquired Hexacta, a Pan-Latin-America digital and data engineering firm headquartered in Uruguay. The acquisition adds more than 800 engineers across 10 development centers, expanding GlobalLogic's nearshore delivery footprint and capabilities in software, data engineering, and UI/UX services.

Hitachi Acquires GlobalLogic

Hitachi, Ltd., through its U.S. subsidiary Hitachi Global Digital Holdings (HGDH), acquired GlobalLogic, a Silicon Valley–headquartered digital engineering services firm, in a transaction announced March 31, 2021 and completed July 14, 2021. The deal valued GlobalLogic at $8.5 billion of equity ($9.5 billion enterprise value) and expands Hitachi's Lumada digital solutions capabilities by adding GlobalLogic's ~21,000 engineering and design professionals.

SOCOTEC Consulting, Inc. Acquires Forge Engineering, Inc.

SOCOTEC Consulting, Inc., part of the SOCOTEC Group, has completed the acquisition of Forge Engineering, a Naples, Florida-based engineering firm. The deal adds forensics, geotechnical, environmental engineering and construction materials testing capabilities to SOCOTEC's U.S. technical services platform and expands its presence in the Southeastern United States.

Futuris Company Acquires Majority Stakes in Fourth Technologies (Fortek) and Soft2001

Futuris Company signed definitive agreements to acquire majority ownership in two Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based staffing firms, Fourth Technologies, Inc. (Fortek) and Soft2001, Inc. The two companies together generate roughly $7.25 million in annual revenue and the deals are intended to expand Futuris's HCM/staffing platform in the Northeast U.S.; both transactions were expected to close in September 2020.
