(NASDAQ: GO) has agreed to acquire United Grocery Outlet (UGO), an extreme value discount grocery retailer operating across the Southeastern United States, from affiliates of Gen Cap America and current/former UGO management. The deal is expected to add 40 stores and a distribution center, expanding Grocery Outlet’s footprint into Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, and Virginia, with anticipated closing in early Q2 2024.
