Hecla Mining Acquires ATAC Resources (Rackla and Connaught Projects)

Hecla Mining Company (NYSE: HL) has entered into a definitive arrangement agreement with ATAC Resources Ltd. to acquire ATAC and its Rackla and Connaught projects in Yukon, Canada. Under the deal, ATAC shareholders will receive C$31 million in cash/share consideration plus seed capital into a new exploration company, Cascadia Minerals Ltd.

Hudbay Minerals Inc. has agreed to acquire 100% of Rockcliff Metals Corp. via a court-approved plan of arrangement, paying 0.006776 Hudbay shares per Rockcliff share for an implied enterprise value of roughly US$13 million (net of cash). The deal consolidates Hudbay's ownership of the Talbot copper-gold deposit and significantly expands its prospective land package in the Snow Lake region of Manitoba to help extend mine life and provide optionality for Hudbay's nearby mills.

Labrador Uranium Inc. acquired a 100% interest in the Central Mineral Belt Uranium-Copper Project and the Notakwanon Uranium Project from Altius Resources Inc. in exchange for 8,000,000 common shares of Labrador Uranium (approximately 16.8% of issued LUR shares) and a 2% gross overriding royalty on the projects. The transaction leaves Altius with an equity stake in Labrador Uranium and a royalty interest while Altius will file an early warning report in connection with the share issuance.
