Hill & Smith Agrees to Acquire Freeberg Industrial Fabrication for $36 Million to Expand U.S. Engineered Solutions

Hill & Smith PLC has agreed to acquire Freeberg Industrial Fabrication Corp. for an initial cash consideration of $36 million for 80% of its equity. The deal is subject to U.S. regulatory approvals and includes potential additional payments for the remaining 20% via profitability-based earn-out terms through December 31, 2031, with earn-out capped at $50 million.

National Manufacturing Group Acquires Fiber-Tech Inc

National Composites Acquires Sunrise Fiberglass

Troy, Michigan-based National Composites has acquired Wyoming, Minnesota-based Sunrise Fiberglass, adding Sunrise's 54,000-square-foot production facility to its growing family of composite manufacturing locations. The transaction, National Composites' third acquisition in 2020, expands the company's fiberglass molding and assembly capabilities and broadens its geographic footprint in the upper Midwest; terms were not disclosed.

UFP Industries Acquires Endurable Building Products

UFP Industries, through a subsidiary of UFP Construction, has acquired the assets of Endurable Building Products, a Minnesota-based manufacturer of customized structural aluminum systems for decks, balconies and railings. The acquisition adds Endurable's alumiLAST® product line and experienced leadership to UFP's construction segment and expands UFP's offerings in the multifamily construction market; Endurable reported approximately $15 million in sales in 2020 and its leadership will remain with the business.
