Lineage Logistics signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ontario Refrigerated Services, a family-operated cold storage provider with four facilities in the Greater Toronto market, marking Lineage's entry into Canada. The deal, made in partnership with CapCold Group Inc. (formed by Robert and Patrick Molyneux), adds ~510,000 sq ft (16.2 million cubic feet) and ~100,000 pallet positions of refrigerated capacity; financial terms were not disclosed.

Star Leasing Company, a portfolio company of I Squared Capital, has acquired Cooling Concepts, LLC, a refrigerated semi‑trailer leasing company serving customers in over 30 U.S. states. The acquisition expands Star’s refrigerated trailer fleet, geographic footprint and product offerings (rentals, leasing, maintenance and trailer sales) and is accretive to its core business as part of I Squared’s larger transport and cold‑chain platform.

EQT Infrastructure VI Acquires Constellation Cold Logistics from Arcus Infrastructure Partners

EQT Infrastructure VI (managed by EQT) has agreed to acquire Constellation Cold Logistics from Arcus Infrastructure Partners. Constellation is a London-headquartered cold storage owner-operator with 26 large facilities across seven Western European and Nordic countries, ~700 employees and expected FY24 revenue above EUR 150 million; EQT will support further geographic expansion, consolidation and investments in automation and digital capabilities.

Controlled Environment Systems Acquires Coldroom Systems, Inc.

Controlled Environment Systems, LLC (CES) acquired Coldroom Systems, Inc. (CRS), a regional provider of thermal envelope and low-temperature construction solutions, as CES's third acquisition of 2021. The deal expands CES's Structures division by adding CRS's project management, insulated metal panel (IMP) installation expertise and underfloor heating capabilities and strengthens CES's foothold in the U.S. Southeast.

Vertical Cold Storage Acquires MWCold

Vertical Cold Storage, a temperature-controlled warehousing platform sponsored by real estate investment firm Platform Ventures, has agreed to acquire MWCold, a fourth-generation, family-owned cold storage and logistics provider operating two facilities in central Indiana. The acquisition adds more than 545,000 square feet of multi-temperature, rail-served warehouse capacity (Indianapolis and Pendleton, IN) to Vertical Cold's Midwest footprint and will see MWCold CEO Tim Siddiq transition to an advisory role.

TorQuest Partners Acquires VersaCold Logistics Services

TorQuest Partners, together with co-investors The Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) and OPTrust, completed the acquisition of VersaCold Logistics Services from KingSett Capital and Ivanhoé Cambridge. VersaCold's management (led by Mike Arcamone as CEO) rolled equity and will continue to operate the business as the new investors support growth of the company's temperature‑controlled warehousing and food logistics network in Canada.
