CI Financial Acquires Majority Interest in RGT Wealth Advisors

CI Financial Corp. will acquire a majority ownership stake in RGT Wealth Advisors, a Dallas-based registered investment advisor with approximately US$4.7 billion in client assets, in a deal to be paid in cash and CI shares. The transaction, expected to close in Q4 2020 subject to regulatory and stock exchange approvals, expands CI's U.S. wealth footprint (bringing U.S. wealth assets to ~US$21 billion) while RGT principals will retain a meaningful ownership stake.

CI Financial Corp. completed six transactions to grow its U.S. CI Private Wealth business, including the acquisitions of four registered investment advisor (RIA) firms: Columbia Pacific Wealth Management, Gofen & Glossberg, RegentAtlantic Capital, and R.H. Bluestein & Co. CI also completed minority-stake investments in Columbia Pacific Advisors and GLAS Funds. The transactions were previously announced in November–December 2021 and closed by December 31, 2021.

RFA Financial Completes Acquisition of Artis Real Estate Investment Trust

Artis Real Estate Investment Trust and RFA Financial Inc. completed their statutory plan of arrangement under which RFA acquired all outstanding Artis common units, Series E preferred units, and Series I preferred units. The transaction combines Artis’s real estate platform with RFA’s Canadian financial services platform anchored by a federally regulated Schedule I bank and mortgage origination/servicing business.

iCapital Network Acquires Axio Financial
