Ingevity Acquires Ozark Materials and Ozark Logistics

Ingevity Corporation has reached an agreement to acquire privately owned Ozark Materials, LLC and Ozark Logistics, LLC in an all-cash transaction valued at $325 million. The acquisition expands Ingevity’s position in paving construction and adds a downstream pavement marking materials business expected to be immediately accretive to earnings.

Ingevity Invests $60M in Nexeon to Support Silicon Anode Commercialization

Ingevity Corporation has invested $60 million to acquire an equity stake in UK-based Nexeon Limited, a developer of silicon-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The strategic investment supports commercialization and manufacturing scale-up of Nexeon's NSP-2 silicon anode technology and establishes a joint development and long-term activated carbon supply relationship between the companies.

Chicago-based private investment firm KCM Capital Partners led the acquisition of Elkridge, Maryland-headquartered ICAT Logistics, with equity and subordinated debt support from Lightspring Capital Partners and Midwest Mezzanine Funds and senior debt provided by Live Oak Bank. ICAT's founder and management remain invested and will continue to run the business; the deal positions ICAT for accelerated growth through expansion of its agency network and strategic acquisitions.

Alta Equipment Group Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PeakLogix, a Midlothian, Virginia-based material handling systems integrator that designs and installs warehouse automation and storage systems. The acquisition expands Alta's materials handling capabilities and geographic footprint; PeakLogix generated about $25 million in revenue and $2 million in operating income in FY2019. Terms were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close by the end of June, subject to customary conditions.
