Ingevity Corporation acquired the assets of Adsorbed Natural Gas Products, Inc. (ANGP) of Johns Island, South Carolina. The asset purchase brings ANGP's adsorbed natural gas (ANG) bi-fuel vehicle technology and team (including CEO Bob Bonelli) into Ingevity to accelerate commercialization and broaden its automotive carbon and ANG capabilities; terms were not disclosed.

Offen Petroleum Acquires Ozark Mountain Energy and Petroleum Express

Offen Petroleum has closed on the acquisition of the business assets of Ozark Mountain Energy and its affiliate trucking company Petroleum Express, both based in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Offen — a portfolio company of Court Square Capital Partners — will operate the acquired businesses under the Ozark Mountain Energy name in the Mid-continent and Midwestern states, with Brent, Eric and Kyle Wilmoth joining Offen’s leadership; Brent also purchased a significant equity stake in Offen.

Ingevity Invests $60M in Nexeon to Support Silicon Anode Commercialization

Ingevity Corporation has invested $60 million to acquire an equity stake in UK-based Nexeon Limited, a developer of silicon-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The strategic investment supports commercialization and manufacturing scale-up of Nexeon's NSP-2 silicon anode technology and establishes a joint development and long-term activated carbon supply relationship between the companies.

KCM Capital Partners Acquires ICAT Logistics

Chicago-based private investment firm KCM Capital Partners led the acquisition of Elkridge, Maryland-headquartered ICAT Logistics, with equity and subordinated debt support from Lightspring Capital Partners and Midwest Mezzanine Funds and senior debt provided by Live Oak Bank. ICAT's founder and management remain invested and will continue to run the business; the deal positions ICAT for accelerated growth through expansion of its agency network and strategic acquisitions.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires PeakLogix

Alta Equipment Group Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PeakLogix, a Midlothian, Virginia-based material handling systems integrator that designs and installs warehouse automation and storage systems. The acquisition expands Alta's materials handling capabilities and geographic footprint; PeakLogix generated about $25 million in revenue and $2 million in operating income in FY2019. Terms were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close by the end of June, subject to customary conditions.

(NASDAQ: ROAD) has acquired Overland Corporation, an asphalt manufacturing and paving company headquartered in Ardmore, Oklahoma, including eight hot‑mix asphalt plants serving southern and western Oklahoma and northern Texas. The acquisition expands CPI into its eighth state (Oklahoma) and adds manufacturing and paving capabilities to support public and private roadway, commercial and residential projects.
