Morgan entered into an agreement with Viva Wallet Holdings Software Development S.A. and its existing shareholders to acquire an approximately 49% ownership stake, subject to regulatory approvals. The deal positions J.P. Morgan’s Payments business to expand omnichannel merchant acquiring capabilities and future value-added payments and transaction services for European SMBs.
