Generate Capital, PBC launched a new circular-economy platform called Generate Upcycle and acquired Ontario-based StormFisher Environmental Services Ltd., integrating StormFisher's organics business and development team into the platform. The deal expands Generate's waste-to-value capabilities across anaerobic digestion, composting and biogas/RNG development to better serve municipalities, food processors and retailers in North America.

Technip Energies Acquires Ecovyst's Advanced Materials & Catalysts Business

Technip Energies has completed the acquisition of Ecovyst’s Advanced Materials & Catalysts (AM&C) segment in a transaction reported around $556 million, bringing approximately 330 AM&C employees into Technip. Ecovyst expects net proceeds of about $530 million (using $465 million to pay down term debt), while Technip said the deal expands its catalysts and advanced materials capabilities to support sustainable fuels, circular chemistry and carbon-capture applications.

Gevo to Acquire Red Trail Energy Ethanol and CCS Assets for $210M

Gevo, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the ethanol production plant and carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) assets of Red Trail Energy, LLC for $210 million. The assets include a 65 million gallon per year low‑carbon ethanol facility and CCS capacity with 1 million metric tons/year potential (160,000 tpy currently utilized); the deal is expected to close in Q1 2025 and will support Gevo's SAF and carbon abatement strategy.

GroundWork Renewables Acquires CFV Solar Test Laboratory

GroundWork Renewables has acquired CFV Solar Test Laboratory to add PV module performance, reliability testing and resilience services to its utility-scale solar meteorological data offerings. The acquisition will integrate lab-based module testing with GroundWork’s MET datasets to provide owners, developers and EPCs enhanced performance modeling and risk evaluation services; terms were not disclosed.

Methanex Acquires OCI Methanol from OCI Global for $1.6 Billion

Methanex Corporation has completed the acquisition of 100% of OCI Global's methanol business (OCI Methanol) for USD 1.6 billion on a cash‑free, debt‑free basis, consisting of approximately USD 1.3 billion of cash and 9.9 million Methanex common shares. The deal transfers multiple methanol production assets (including facilities in Beaumont, Texas and Delfzijl, Netherlands, and OCI's HyFuels low‑carbon business) to Methanex and enables OCI to return capital to shareholders and reduce debt.
