Coinbase has acquired Liquifi, a token management platform that provides token cap table management, vesting and compliance tooling for early-stage onchain teams. The acquisition brings Liquifi's token issuance and compliance capabilities into Coinbase's product suite (including Coinbase Prime) to support builders earlier in their lifecycle and provide a more integrated onchain issuance workflow.

Polygon Labs Acquires Sequence and Coinme to Build Open Money Stack

Blockchain developer Polygon Labs acquired Toronto-based Sequence and Seattle-based Coinme in deals totaling more than $250 million to accelerate its stablecoin payments strategy. The purchases bring wallet and developer infrastructure (Sequence) together with fiat on-/off-ramps and US money-transmitter licenses (Coinme) to form an integrated Open Money Stack for on-chain payments.

Coinbase Global Acquires Deribit

Coinbase Global, Inc. agreed to acquire Deribit, the leading crypto options exchange, in a transaction valued at approximately $2.9 billion (comprised of $700 million cash and 11 million shares). The acquisition strengthens Coinbase’s global derivatives offering by adding Deribit’s high-volume options platform and institutional client base, and is expected to be accretive to Adjusted EBITDA upon close.
