Konecranes Acquires Peinemann Port Services and Peinemann Container Handling

Finnish material-handling manufacturer Konecranes has acquired two subsidiaries of the Peinemann group — Peinemann Port Services and Peinemann Container Handling — expanding its service and sales presence in the Netherlands, particularly in the Port of Rotterdam. The deal brings roughly 100 employees into Konecranes, will not affect distribution arrangements outside the Netherlands, and supports Konecranes' plans to broaden services and accelerate electrification of lift trucks in a key market.

Descartes will integrate Kontainers' digital freight platform with its Global Logistics Network to expand customer-facing and API-enabled capabilities for logistics services providers.
