Trivest Partners and Queens Court Capital Management launched Pet Resort Hospitality Group (PRHG), a platform focused on multi-unit pet services. PRHG has acquired Play All Day, a five-location pet resort in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as its first add-on to the new platform; Amanda Field, Play All Day's founder, will remain involved post-transaction.

Destination Pet Acquires Pet Palace Pet Boarding Resort

Destination Pet has acquired Pet Palace Pet Boarding Resort, a luxury pet care operator with 11 locations across Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina and Pennsylvania and more than 500 employees. The acquisition expands Destination Pet’s national pet resort and clinic network, adds a luxury resort brand, and enables wider rollout of Destination Pet’s connected care model and Yourgi app; Pet Palace founder Brian Hudock will remain as a strategic advisor.

K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel and its largest franchisee group, Luxury Pet Hotel Investments, LLC (LPHI), have formed a 50-50 joint venture covering K9 Resorts' corporate-owned locations outside the Fanwood, New Jersey flagship. LPHI will assume day-to-day management of four resorts (Cherry Hill, NJ; Fairfield, NJ; Hamilton, NJ; Malvern, PA) as part of a partnership designed to accelerate franchise growth and allow K9 Resorts' corporate team to focus on franchise support and expansion.

Best Friends Pet Care Acquires Paws Pet Resort

Best Friends Pet Care, a portfolio company of Mosaic Capital Partners, has acquired Paws Pet Resort, a regional pet resort and services company based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Peakstone served as exclusive M&A advisor to Paws Pet Resort; terms were not disclosed. The deal is an add-on to Best Friends Pet Care's platform to expand its pet care footprint and service offering.

Regency Pet LLC Expands into Midwest with Partnership with Hinsdale Pet Memorial Services

Regency Pet LLC announced a partnership with Hinsdale Pet Memorial Services to expand its pet aftercare platform into the Midwest, bringing three locations — Hinsdale Animal Cemetery and Pet Crematory (Willowbrook, IL), Rolling Acres Memorial Gardens (Kansas City, MO) and Loving Hearts Pet Memorial Services (Eureka, MO) — into its network. The Remkus family will remain involved and assume senior roles at Regency as part of the transition, supporting Regency's national expansion of pet aftercare services.

Digs Dog Care, backed by Frontenac and Encore Management Group, has acquired 17 pet resorts across the United States and begun rebranding select locations while partnering with others that will continue to operate under their original names. The deal builds a national network of high-end pet resorts offering daycare, boarding, grooming and training and supports Digs' strategy of scaling via targeted acquisitions while providing operational support and an employee ownership program.
