Clearwater Compliance LLC, an operating company of Altaris Capital Partners, has completed an all-cash take-private acquisition of CynergisTek, Inc. for approximately $17.7 million (stockholders to receive $1.25 per share). The deal brings together two healthcare-focused cybersecurity and compliance firms to expand Clearwater's managed services, privacy, compliance, and IT-audit capabilities.

Sunstone Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Clearwater

Sunstone Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, has acquired majority ownership of Clearwater from Altaris, LLC and other existing shareholders. The investment will support Clearwater’s expansion of managed security, consulting, and software capabilities across the healthcare ecosystem and the defense industrial base (via its Redspin division).

Precision Aerospace Holdings Acquires Clearwater Engineering

Dallas-based Precision Aerospace Holdings, a portfolio company of Juniper Capital Management and CIC Partners, has acquired Clearwater Engineering, a Derby, Kansas precision machining and CNC milling company serving commercial and government aerospace customers. The add-on deal (closed March 7, 2025) expands Precision's Midwest footprint, adds machining capacity and capabilities, and brings approximately 40 Clearwater employees into the Precision platform.

ICS (ClearLight-backed) Acquires TechMD

LOCH Technologies Acquires Avirtek, Inc.

LOCH Technologies (LOCH.io) has acquired Avirtek, Inc., a Tucson-based developer of AI/ML-driven autonomic cybersecurity (ACS) technology, to integrate Avirtek's predictive data detection and response (DDR) capabilities into LOCH's AirShield platform. Avirtek founder Professor Salim Hariri will join LOCH as Senior Vice President of Research and Development to accelerate integration of behavior analytics and encrypted-traffic detection features.
