StonePoint Materials LLC acquired River Aggregates, LLC, adding two sand and gravel facilities serving the Houston and Beaumont, Texas markets. The deal expands StonePoint's geographic footprint into Texas and complements its existing Southern Aggregates subsidiary to create a new Texas platform.

OneWater Marine Acquires Stone Harbor Marina

OneWater Marine Inc. agreed to acquire the assets of Stone Harbor Marina from owner Tom Russell to expand its presence in the northeastern United States. The acquisition adds new and pre-owned boat sales, service and repair, storage and marina operations — Stone Harbor generated approximately $35 million in trailing twelve-month sales — and is expected to close in OneWater’s fiscal fourth quarter of 2021.

Armada Materials Acquires Drake's Creek Stone

Armada Materials, a Kelso-backed infrastructure materials platform, has acquired Drake's Creek Stone, a quarry in Franklin, Kentucky formerly part of Charles DeWeese Construction. The acquisition expands Armada's aggregates footprint to serve northern Tennessee and southern Kentucky and adds crushed stone production capacity to its platform.

Armada Materials Acquires Wright Paving Contractors and Custom Stone in Tennessee

Armada Materials, a Tampa-based infrastructure materials platform backed by Kelso & Company, has acquired the assets of Wright Paving Contractors, Inc. and Custom Stone, LLC (the "Wright Companies") of Fayetteville, Tennessee. The Wright Companies — which operate asphalt and aggregates production, milling and paving across Pottsville, Shelbyville, and Fayetteville with ~50 employees — will be combined with Armada's existing Volunteer Materials operations to expand Armada's footprint in Middle Tennessee.

Brookstone Partners Acquires Virginia Abrasives

Brookstone Partners, a New York-based lower-middle-market private equity firm, completed the acquisition of Virginia Abrasives Corporation (VAC) in May 2019. VAC, headquartered in Petersburg, Virginia, manufactures and distributes sandpaper and other abrasive products to equipment rental, professional flooring and industrial flooring customers nationwide; Brookstone intends to grow VAC organically and via add-on acquisitions.

CenterOak-backed Shamrock Environmental Acquires Virginia American Industries

CenterOak Partners’ portfolio company Shamrock Environmental has acquired Virginia American Industries (VAI), a regional provider of non-hazardous wastewater treatment operating under the Aqua Clean and Reco trade names in Florida and Virginia. The add-on expands Shamrock’s permitted treatment capacity and roughly doubles its regional presence, strengthening its footprint across the Southeast U.S.; terms were not disclosed.
