MSI Express (HCI-backed) Acquires PacMoore's Hammond Contract Manufacturing Operations

MSI Express, backed by HCI Equity Partners, acquired select contract manufacturing and packaging assets from PacMoore Products, Inc. on October 25, 2021. The transaction adds PacMoore’s Hammond, Indiana operations to MSI’s Indiana footprint as a third add-on to the HCI-backed platform, expanding capacity and complementary capabilities for CPG customers.

HCI Equity Partners Acquires Express Packaging

HCI Equity Partners has acquired Express Packaging, a Newcomerstown, Ohio-based provider of outsourced contract packaging and contract manufacturing services for global consumer brands. Patriot Capital Group provided subordinated debt and an equity investment to support the transaction; Express operates three SQF Level 3 certified facilities in West Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Newcomerstown, OH.

Nonantum Capital Partners Acquires MSI Express from HCI Equity Partners

Nonantum Capital Partners, a Boston-based middle-market private equity firm, has acquired MSI Express, a Portage, Indiana–headquartered co-manufacturer and co-packer for food and beverage brands, from HCI Equity Partners. The deal closed March 24, 2025; financial terms were not disclosed. Nonantum said it will support continued growth and scaling of MSI's multi-facility operations.

TricorBraun Acquires Packaging Solutions, Inc.

TricorBraun has acquired Minneapolis-based Packaging Solutions, Inc. (PSI), a rigid packaging distributor and custom designer serving pharmaceutical, pet food and personal care markets. The acquisition strengthens TricorBraun’s Minneapolis presence (adding warehouse capacity) and integrates PSI into the TricorBraun platform; PSI’s owners and team will remain and the Packaging Solutions name has been retired. Terms were not disclosed.

BlackHawk Industrial Acquires Packaging Incorporated

BlackHawk Industrial has acquired Packaging Incorporated, a packaging and fastening equipment and supplies distributor headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The acquisition expands BlackHawk's geographic footprint into additional Minnesota and Wisconsin markets and establishes a presence in Iowa; Packaging's commercial management will continue to lead the business within BlackHawk. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Quantix (Wind Point Partners) Acquires Mid-States Packaging

Quantix, a Wind Point Partners portfolio company, has acquired Mid-States Packaging, a full‑service dry bulk transportation, warehousing and export services company with eleven locations across Texas, the Northeast and the Mid‑Atlantic. The add‑on bolsters Quantix’s geographic footprint and strengthens its warehousing and trucking transportation operations serving chemical producers and distributors.
